Today was our first real Snow of the season. Very exciting!!!

More Weather
I find the weather here endlessly fascinating. This week we started getting down into the low 30's. When that happens here, the trees immediately dump all their leaves as fast as they can, even if they're all still green. Then the leaves start turning yellow or orange on the sidewalk. I guess they're trying to be efficient and make good use of their limited time with autumn.

Crazy! I have never seen such a thing as trees dumping their leaves when they are green. I wonder if it's helpful to not have extra things for snow to stick to, which could cause branches to break. Hence the dump. Just typing out loud. Enjoy the snow!
