Fall is in the Air

Believe it or not, fall has arrived in Yekaterinburg.  The air is crisp and slightly cool, though still pleasant, and leaves have started falling off the trees.  Interestingly enough, the leaves started falling a couple of days ago when it was still in the 80's.  I guess they knew the cool weather was coming.  

We went to Moscow for a couple of days last week, and Mike and I had the impossible dream of taking our kids to Red Square and getting a family picture we could put on our Christmas card.  Not to give away the ending, but let's just say that if you see a picture of us smiling in Red Square, it is photoshopped.

Red Square was full of scaffolding and stadium seats and all kinds of stage and sound equipment.  No problem, we hiked maybe 500 yards to a bridge over the freeway to get a clear shot of St Basil's Cathedral.  Mike took a practice shot of me and Christian, and then.....

You know that awkward moment after someone takes your picture, and you don't really glance at it because you don't want to be critical?  Well, maybe you should.

Ok, we think, honest mistake, we didn't specify to get the cathedral in the picture.....let's ask someone else.....

Only by that time, both kids were tired and hungry and in full meltdown mode:
